Time Reporting
In the mobile client, users can report time for person resource
usage on a task. This applies to Work Tasks, Request Work Tasks, Bundle
Tasks, and Crew Tasks. Time can be reported manually by the executing
resource or automatically if auto-time reporting is enabled. The rules for
time reporting vary based on the resource type executing the task.
1. Reporting Person Resource Usage with Employment to the Task Company
Time can be reported manually by the executing resource or
automatically if auto-time reporting is enabled.
Manual Time Reporting
A Person Resource executing a Work Task or Request Work Task can manually
report time for themselves (logged-in resource) and other resources working
on the same task.
For service-related activities, the Time Type can be specified to generate
corresponding sales lines with relevant price information.
Auto Time Reporting
If
automatic time reporting is enabled in the workflow configuration, time
transactions (clocking records) are automatically created based on work
assignment status changes:
-
On Route: This status will generate a clock-in transaction, to automatically
capture travel time.
-
Pause Travel: This status will clock out travel time.
-
Continue Travel: This status will generate a clock-in transaction,
to automatically capture travel time.
-
Continue: This will generate a clock-in transaction.
-
Waiting at Location: This status will generate a
clock-out transaction for travel time and a clock-in transaction for
work performed.
-
Start Work: This status will generate a clock-out transaction for travel time
and a clock-in transaction for work performed.
-
Complete / Incomplete / Pause Work: These statuses will generate a
clock-out transaction for work performed.
-
Continue Work: This will generate a clock-in transaction.
2. Reporting Person Resource usage in Bundle Tasks
Report on Bundle Task : Time can be reported automatically (based on state
changes) and manually by the user. Time is reported on Bundle Task level.
The time reported on bundle task gets distributed among connected tasks once
the time transaction is synched to back office and distributed transactions
can be reviewed in
Linked Time Reports. This functionality is available only when
online.
Report on Connected Task : It is also possible to use Time Reprt action on
connected tasks to report Time. The general functionality available for a
normal Work Task is enabled for the action.
3. Reporting Person Resource usage in Crew Tasks
Auto Time ReportingAutomatic time capture when the leader executes the work assignment is
created on the crew resource level.
- The Primary Resource Group and the Default
Time Type defined on the Crew Resource are used when creating
the work time clocking.
- The Default Travel Resource Group and the
Travel Time Type defined on the Crew Resource are used when
creating the travel time clocking.
- Time reported for the crew is split into member reports on the
server side once it is synchronized from the mobile device to the
server. Each individual member's time report record is then pushed back
to mobile.
- The member-level time records can be viewed under crew time details.
This is an online-only view.
Only the crew leader can modify/delete time reports reported for the entire
crew, whereas any member can modify/delete member-level records (split time)
on mobile.
- Modifying or deleting the crew-level time reports by the leader will
also modify or delete the respective member-level records.
- Modifying or deleting member-level time reports will not affect
crew-level time reports.
Manual Time ReportingOnly the crew leader can report time for the entire crew.
- The crew time is split in the backend to the member level and is
pushed back to the mobile.
- The member-level time records can be viewed under crew time details
when the device is online.
Only the crew leader can modify/delete the crew-level time
reports, whereas any member can modify/delete member-level
records (split time) on mobile.
- Modifying or deleting the crew-level time reports by the leader will
also modify or delete the respective member-level records.
- Modifying or deleting member-level time reports will not change or
delete other member time records or crew-level time records.
Both the leader and member can report time on the person's resource level.
4. Reporting Time for Secondment Resource and for Resource Without
Employment
There are three types of resources that can execute a Work Task or
Request Work Task:
- Normal Resource – Has employment in the task company and follows standard time reporting rules.
- Seconded Resource – Has employment in another company.
- Resource Only – Has no employment.
Last two types of resources can also Report Time for the logged-on resource
and for other resources that could work on the same Work Task.
